The FL5’s wide front track and aggressive tire setup make it especially prone to rock chips along the doors and fender vents. FX3D Rock Guards are designed to intercept debris at the source, reducing long-term paint damage without the bulk of traditional mud flaps.

FX3D Design Rock Guards are now CNC-cut from high-performance HDPE, selected for its durability, surface quality and long-term resistance in real driving conditions.

What material and finish are the rock guards made from?

Our rock guards are manufactured from a high-performance automotive-grade material selected specifically for impact resistance and long-term durability.

Finish:
The visible side features a slightly textured satin black finish for a clean OEM+ appearance.

The reverse side has a smooth gloss black finish.

Are they 3D printed?

Not anymore.

Our current version is precision CNC-cut for a cleaner finish, tighter consistency, and improved long-term durability compared to traditional 3D printed parts.

Are they suitable for winter conditions?

Absolutely.

These rock guards are built to handle real winter driving. Freezing temperatures, snow, road salt, slush, daily abuse. The material remains stable and impact-resistant even in extreme cold conditions.

They are designed with harsh climates in mind.

Does installation require drilling?

No drilling required.

The rock guards mount using factory attachment points and included hardware for a secure, clean installation.

Will they fit another model?

Each set is specifically engineered for a particular vehicle platform to ensure proper alignment and protection.

They are not universal parts. Please ensure you are selecting the correct version for your vehicle.

Do they cover the bumper?

The rock guards are designed to protect the vehicle’s body panels from road debris and stone chips, including areas beyond just the lower sections.

Unlike large rally-style mud flaps, they are low-profile and performance-oriented. They are not intended to prevent debris from being projected behind the vehicle, but rather to reduce paint damage to your own car while maintaining a clean, refined look.
